Mysuru: The Royal Mysore Sailing Club (RMSC) and Karnataka State Sailing Association (KSSA), under the aegis of the Yachting Association of India (YAI), will host the Asian Inclusive Sailing Series (AISS) from Oct. 8 to 13 at the RMSC facilities on the scenic backwaters of the Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) Dam in Srirangapatna Taluk, Mandya District.
This landmark regatta — the first of its kind in India and endorsed by World Sailing — will welcome sailors with disabilities from across Asia and beyond, reaffirming India’s commitment to inclusive sports.
So far, 10 Asian teams have confirmed participation — from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, East Timor, the Philippines, Oman and India — along with one European team from France. More nations are expected to confirm, making this event a truly global celebration of inclusivity, skill and resilience.
The competition will feature Hansa 303 and Hansa 203 class boats, supported by Mysuru’s ideal October weather — temperatures ranging from 21°C to 30°C and wind speeds of 9–14 km/h — ensuring fair and exciting racing conditions.
