Mysore/Mysuru: The Association of Integrated Mysore Swimmers, in collaboration with Marlin Aquatic Centre, Mysuru, will be organising ASMITA Swimming League, a dedicated competition for young girls. The primary objective of the league is to encourage girl swimmers at both grassroots and competitive levels, provide structured competitive exposure and strengthen women’s aquatics across the State.
The event is being conducted under the auspices of Karnataka Swimming Association in coordination with the Swimming Federation of India, as part of the Government of India’s sports development initiatives.
Swimming competition will be held at Marlin Aquatic Centre, No. 335/3, Bogadi Road, Vijayanagar 4th Stage, from 9 am on Feb. 28.
The competition will be held only for girls in various age groups including: Group 2 (13-14 Years): 50mts & 100mts Freestyle, 50mts & 100mts Backstroke, 50mts and 100mts Breaststroke and 50mts and 100mts Butterfly; Group 3 (11-12 Years): 50mts Freestyle, 50mts Backstroke, 50mts Breaststroke and 50mts Butterfly; Group 4 (9-10 Years): 25mts Freestyle, 25mts Backstroke, 25mts Breaststroke and 25mts Butterfly.
Each swimmer may participate in a maximum of four events. Last date for entries is Feb. 26 before 6 pm. For details, contact Mahesh on Mob: 96200-76642.
