Assault on Traffic Police at Hinkal: One more arrested, eight assaulters in the videos identified

Mysore/Mysuru: Vijayanagar Police, who are investigating the assault on Traffic Police personnel on Monday evening near RMP Quarters at Hinkal, have arrested one more accused bringing the total number of arrests in the case to 14.

The Police have also identified eight more persons assaulting the Police personnel in the videos captured by the public. The phone numbers and addresses of the eight assaulters have also been traced. They are said to be residents of Alanahalli, Yelwal, Nagamangala, Bogadi and surrounding places. 

Among the assaulters identified in the videos, one person had caught the collar of the Assistant Sub-Inspector and assaulted him. He has been arrested and brought to the  Police Station. The arrested assaulter is a resident of Saraswathipuram in city.

Following a request from Vijayanagar Inspector Balakrishna to help the Police in identifying the assaulters and help in tracing them, members of the public, who took screenshot of the assaulters’ photos, have sent the same along with valuable information to the mobile phone of Inspector Balakrishna.

Once the Police arrest the eight identified assaulters, more information about others involved in the assault would be known.
