‘Atal Puraskar’ ceremony in Bengaluru tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Pratishtana will confer ‘Atal Puraksar’ on personalities at a programme organised at Jnanajyothi auditorium in Bengaluru City University campus tomorrow (Dec.25) at 3 pm.

Announcing this at a press meet here recently, Pratishtana President Prof. M. Krishnegowda said that Sushasan Divas, also known as Good Governance Day, is celebrated across the country on Dec.25, marking the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The award instituted by the Pratishtana in Atal’s memory  will be presented to Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, Director Prof. Govindan Rangarajan, Devaraj Urs Academy President Dr. S. Chandrashekar Shetty and Prayoga Organisation Founder Dr. H.S. Nagaraj.

Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy will deliver the inaugural address. MP and former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will be the chief guest.

Prior to the programme, seminars on different topics will be held at 2 pm  during which eminent educationists like Prof.Gopalkrishna Joshi, Prof. Guruswamy, Prof. Satyanarayan, Prof. B. Thimmegowda, Prof. S.K. Saidapura, Madabushi Madanmohan, Prof. S. Sachidananda, Prof. Niranjan Vanalli and others will speak. Satya Sai University Founder-Chancellor Madhusudhan Sai will inaugurate.

Former Corporator Prashanth Gowda, Dr. Chetan, Advocate Hemanth Gowda, Vedaraj, Vasanth Kumar, A. Ravi, Dr. Manu and Nikhil were present.
