Mysuru – The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, ATME College of Engineering, Mysuru and Regional Telecom Training Centre (RTTC)-BSNL, Mysuru, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently to bridge the skill gap between academia-industry.
Dr. L. Basavaraj, Principal, ATMECE and Prof. A.V. Srikantan, Principal, RTTC-BSNL, signed the MoU.
RTTC-BSNL is one of the pioneer telecom training centres of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited in India serving the training needs in telecommunication.
Prof. Srikantan spoke about the facilities available at the training institute and various training programmes that can be conducted for the benefit of the students in the area of communication field, to provide internship, industrial visits and assist students for placements and also to arrange training programmes on the topics related to curriculum.
Dr. P.K. Mahesh, Head of the Department, Electronics and Communication Engineering, ATME, said as per National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) sector skill council the technical courses and training will enhance the skills and knowledge of UG & PG students.
On the occasion, D. K. Patil, Divisional Engineer (TM), RTTC, C. S. Hanchinal, Second Divisional Engineer, RTTC and P. Chandra Shekar, Assistant Professor and RTTC Nodal officer, Department of ECE, were present.
