Bike-borne chain-snatchers flee as women scream for help
Mysore/Mysuru: Chain-snatching incidents are increasing day-by-day in city with bike-borne miscreants attempting to snatch gold chains in two separate incidents in city yesterday.
In the first incident, a 50-year-old woman, resident of Srirampura 2nd Stage, was walking near the tamarind tree in the locality at about 5.30 pm, when two miscreants on a Bajaj Pulsar bike came close to her. Sensing danger, the woman screamed for help, forcing them to flee from the spot.
In the second incident, that took place at about 5.45 pm, a woman, who was walking near Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Circle saw two persons approaching her slowly and screamed for help, forcing the miscreants to flee.
K.R. Sub-Division ACP Poornachandra Tejasvi, Ashokapuram Inspector Siddaraju and staff, who rushed to the spot conducted an inspection. No complaints or cases have been registered.
