Bengaluru: A day after becoming the Chief Minister for the second time, Siddharamaiah on Sunday took time off to attend the graduation ceremony of his grandson Dhawan Rakesh at Canadian International School in Bengaluru.
Dhawan, son of late Rakesh Siddharamaiah, the elder son of the CM, was among the 68 students who passed out of Class 12 from the School, which had a surprise guest in Siddharamaiah yesterday. The graduation ceremony address was delivered by noted writer and Padma Bhushan awardee Sudha Murty of the Infosys Foundation.
Siddharamaiah said later on his personal Twitter handle: “My grandson Dhawan completed his Class 12 from Canadian Intl. School and the school had organised a farewell for the graduating class of 2023 in the school premises on Sunday. I was happy to be part of the event.”
It may be mentioned, Dhawan had made his public appearance in April 2023, when he accompanied his grandfather to Mysuru to witness Siddharamaiah’s nomination filing as the Congress candidate for Varuna Constituency. Siddharamaiah had then said that his grandson appeared to be interested in politics, but has a long way to go as he was only 17 and wanted to study Law.
