Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Mahashivarathri celebrations, an Audio-Visual presentation on ‘Kailasa-Manasa Sarovara Yatra’ has been organised at Govind Rao Memorial Hall on JLB Road in city on Mar. 1 at 6 pm, by Gowda Saraswat Brahmana Sabha, Mysuru and Akhila Bharatiya Brahmana Mahasangha, Mysuru District Unit.
It will be inaugurated by H.S. Sachidananda Murthy, Chairman, Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board and Jagannath Shenoy, well-known industrialist of Mysuru. Dr. Raghavendra Pai, Yoga Guru, will be the guest of honour.
C.V. Gopinath, former Additional Secretary to Government of India and a Vedic Scholar, will be making the presentation with the help of 600 beautiful slides on ‘Himalayas in Vedic Concepts through a journey to Kailasa and Manasa Sarovara.’
For having led teams on behalf of Government of India to Kailasa Yatra, Gopinath has rich experience of visiting Hamalayas and his discourse will be laced with Vedic Hymns and lucid explanation. He is also a well-known documentary film maker on pilgrimages for Hindus. His audio CD on ‘Om – The primordial sound – A perspective of Vedas, Upanishads and cultures of the East’ is produced in 17 Indian languages, in German language too.
