Mysore/Mysuru: Autism Awareness Day was observed at Aashianaa, a School for Special Children in city recently. Students and staff of Sahara School also participated in the event titled “Aashayein 2023.”
Various cultural events like fancy dress, singing and solo dance were conducted for children.
Talk on Autism awareness was given to educate parents.
At Aashianaa School, children with special needs are provided a suitable environment for developing their educational and social skills. They are given tasks to enhance their mental growth and taught to become independent.
The School provides free services to children diagnosed with Autism/ Intellectual Disability/ Cerebral Palsy/Down Syndrome and delayed Development.
Trustees of Aashianaa School Masuma Vagh, Siraj Asgarali, D. Vishwanath, S. Loknath, volunteer Zubeda Vagh, Irfana Husen, Managing Director of Sahara Special School and Khadeer Khan, also from Sahara School, Judges of the cultural event, Hema Malini Devi and Rashmi Jay, staff and students of both the Schools were present on the occasion.
