Award for city researcher

Mysore/Mysuru: Afaq Azmi Khayum, a city-based researcher working as Delivery Lead in Namsbel Global, will receive the Innovative and Dedicated Technologist Award presented by Indian Society of Mechanical Engineers (ISME) for research contribution in the field of electric vehicles during the Global Convention on Dissemination of Innovative Scientific Research Strategies (ISRS-2022) at Mohamed Sathak A.J. College of Engineering in Chennai on June 26.

Son of late Khayum Pasha, a resident of N.R. Mohalla, who served as a Manager in Canara Bank, Afaq is an ambassador at Battery Associates, an Associate Member of Institution of Mechanical Engineers (AMIMECHE) and holds a patent in the field of electric vehicles.

Earlier, he was recognised for a project that he guided as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Maharaja Institute of Technology, Thandavpura, for designing and building an electric vehicle.
