Mysuru: Veteran litterateur Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar (CPK) and writer T. Satish Javaregowda have been selected for the prestigious ‘Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi Sadbhavana’ award jointly instituted by Bengaluru’s Kannadambe Samajika Mattu Samskrutika Sangha and Atmashri Kannada Samskrutika Pratishtana.
Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, Pratishtana President Dr. Gunavanta Manju said that Dr. CPK has been selected in recognition of his enormous contribution to Kannada literature and higher education while Satish Javaregowda has been selected in consideration of his service to cultural organisation, literature and primary education.
The award will be conferred on them during the cultural event organised as part of 78th Independence Day celebrations at District Kannada Sahitya Parishat Bhavan in Vijayanagar I stage tomorrow (Sept.21) at 2 pm
Political analyst and writer Prof. K.E. Radhakrishna will confer the awards. District Kannada Sahiyta Parishat President Maddikere Gopal will preside.
