Awarded highest rank in Muaythai

Mysore/Mysuru: M.N. Vikram, Founder and Technical Director of Academy of Martial Science in Krishnamurthypuram, was recently awarded the rank of Deputy Grand Master, Khan 16, from Muaythai and Muayboran Sports Association (MTBSA), Thailand.

MTBSA is one of the governing bodies of Muaythai in Thailand recognised by Thai Sports Ministry and Tourism Department. AMS is the very first Academy that introduced and popularised the art of Muaythai, MMA and Jiu Jitsu among Mysureans and has been in action for over two decades now.

Interestingly, Level 16 or Deputy Grand Master in Muaythai is the highest rank that could be accorded by MTBSA world body to a Muaythai Master of a foreign origin.

He is the first Indian and a select few from across the globe to achieve this rank. AMS is one of the top combat academies not only in the State but in the entire country making Mysuru proud. 

Grand Master Vikram has over 30 years of experience in Martial Arts and has trained in various other countries like Thailand, United States of America (USA), United Kingdom (UK) and South Africa, starting his career here in India way back in 90s. He has achieved numerous accolades as an Athlete and coach few of which are listed below.
