Awards conferred on Cops and Corona Warriors

Mysore/Mysuru: As many as 65 Police personnel were conferred with ‘Arakshaka Ratna’ and 59 Corona Warriors were conferred ‘Apatbandhava’ awards at the Kannada Rajyotsava celebration organised by Karnataka Rajya Jana Jagruti Vedike at Town Hall in city.

The 65 Police personnel, who were presented awards, belong to Narasimharaja (NR), Mandi, Lashkar, Narasimharaja Traffic, Siddarthanagar Traffic and Devaraja Traffic Police Stations.

Corona Warriors included doctors, media persons and achievers in various fields, who had helped extensively in their own ways during the outbreak of COVID pandemic.

Speaking on the occasion, leader Azeezulla (Ajju) said that Kannada Rajyotsava should not be limited for just a day,  but should be celebrated throughout the year.

Pointing out that just fighting for the cause of Kannada was not enough, he said that one should serve the Kannada land along with it besides stating that Kannada Rajyotsava celebration was not just for elected representatives but for everyone.

Former Deputy Mayor Shafi Ahmed, SDPI State President Abdul Majid, leaders Mohammed Shariff, Karnataka Rajya Jana Jagruti Vedike Founder-State President Asmath Shariff, State Vice-Presidents Sujay Kumar Singh and Saleem Pasha and others were present.
