Mysuru: An awareness and motivation programme on Civil Services under National Talent Search Programme was conducted by Indian Civil Services Training Academy (ICSTA) in association with Teresian College at its auditorium in Siddarthanagar recently.
Edara Ravi Kiran IRS, Joint Commissioner (GST), Mysuru, who addressed the civil services’ aspirants, elucidated the importance of civil services in shaping the country’s future towards development. He also shared his personal journey from Civil Services aspirant to Joint Commissioner GST (Government of India) to illuminate the listeners and give a better understanding of path way in becoming and being a civil servant.
Dhruv Kumar, Assistant Administrative Officer, ICSTA, gave a brief presentation on the UPSC exam and the structure of the Civil Services in India.
National Talent Search Programme is a flagship programme from ICSTA, Mysuru, to create awareness on civil services and encourages best of the aspirants identified by CSET exam with scholarship (Aarunya Programme) to clear UPSC and be a successful civil servant.
Dr. Veena D’ Almeida, Principal, Satish Kumar, Assistant Professor, Political Science and members of ICSTA were also present.
