Mysuru; An awareness programme for women entrepreneurs was organised by Women in Industry and Business Empowerment (WIBE) at the District Industries Centre (DIC) on Sayyaji Rao Road here this morning.
About 50 women entrepreneurs and aspirants participated in the meeting.
Inaugurating the programme, DIC Deputy Director Ramakrishnegowda asked the women entrepreneurs to be clear about the product to be produced after having a couple of choices.
He advised the budding entrepreneurs to do a good market survey for the intended product using internet.
However, he contended that rich dividends cannot be reached right from inception and asked the aspirants to have patience. He suggested the entrepreneurs to interact with banks for good financial options.
The programme also focussed on skills needed for starting a business and also to scale up existing business. The participants were also groomed on interaction with Government agencies.
Department of Women and Child Welfare Deputy Director K. Radha, Women Entrepreneurs Forum President Premakumari, Gayatri Keshav of WIBE, Ravindra of RUDSETI and others were present.
