Mysore/Mysuru: To create awareness on breastfeeding, World Breastfeeding Week is held across the globe between Aug. 1 and 7. Hence, an awareness programme was held at DRM Multispeciality Hospital in Vontikoppal here on Aug. 7.
Paediatrician Dr. Sharath Keerthi delivered a special lecture on the importance of breastfeeding. Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr. Bindu Balasubramaniam provided information on breastfeeding and children’s health.
Dietician Gangam Nanaiah spoke about the nutritious food to be consumed by new mothers while Physiotherapist Suha Shakeel explained the exercises to be done by new mothers.
