B. Vasanthkumar (84), a resident of Vishweshwaranagar, passed away on Dec. 1 in city.
He had served as the President of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Officers’ Association at Ashokapuram and had played an important role in the installation of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s statue at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Park in Ashokapuram in 1984 in the presence of the then Chief Minister late Ramakrishna Hegde.
He leaves behind his wife, four sons and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at Vishweshwaranagar Burial Grounds on Dec. 1, according to family sources.
