Backward Class Organisation decries attempts to tarnish CM’s image

Mysore/Mysuru: The Karnataka Rajya Hindulida Vargagala Jagruta Vedike has charged Congress leader Mavinahalli Siddegowda who has accused MUDA Chairman K. Marigowda of back-stabbing Siddaramaiah during last year’s Assembly polls.

Addressing a press meet here recently, Vedike President K.S. Shivaram claimed that the letter written by MUDA Chairman K. Marigowda only has a note on solving MUDA issues and this is no way connected to the sites allotted to the CM’s wife.

Alleging that efforts are being made to portray MUDA Chairman Marigowda as a villain, Shivaram said that as MUDA Chairman, Marigowda had asked the authorities to present the details of all sites allotted as per 50:50 ratio since 2021. However, this was stalled as the people who had indulged in huge irregularities, feared that their names would come out. These scamsters in order to shield themselves, have brought the documents pertaining to the allotment of sites to the CM’s wife to the fore and portrayed this as a big scam, Shivaram alleged.

Continuing his tirade against Mavinahalli Siddegowda, Shivaram asserted that Siddegowda was not even a member of the Congress, when the CM gave him (Siddegowda), the Congress party ticket to contest from Chamundeshwari Assembly segment in last year’s Assembly polls. But Siddegowda back-stabbed the CM and the Congress by not carrying out campaign, he noted.

He charged former ZAK Chairman L.R. Mahadevaswamy, former Kannada Book Authority Chairman Dr. Nandish Hanche, State BJP Chief B.Y. Vijayendra and the then MUDA Commissioner Dr. D.B. Natesh and alleged that they teamed up and Vijayendra is real kingpin of MUDA scam. “I will come up with all supporting documents in this regard in coming days,” he added.

Asserting that the Opposition leaders have no moral right to speak against Siddaramaiah, he demanded the suspension of former MUDA Commissioners Dr. Natesh and G.T. Dinesh Kumar.

Congress leaders Yogesh Uppar, Mogannachar and others were present at the press meet.
