Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants have lifted a bag containing gold and cash gifts of the bride from a convention hall at Vidyaranyapuram in city on Feb. 21.
N. Krishna, a resident of Kanakagiri, had organised the wedding ceremony of his daughter Nayanashree at a convention hall in Vidyaranyapuram on Feb. 21 and 22. On Feb. 21 evening, the reception was being held and Nayanashree’s elder sister Keerthishree was holding the bag containing cash and gold gifts on the reception stage. At about 8.30 pm, the boy, who was decorating the stage, told Keerthishree that he had kept the garlands in the room and asked her to check them. Keerthishree, who kept the gift bag on the stage, went to the room and by the time she came back, the bag containing the gifts was missing. Based on the complaint from Krishna, Vidyaranyapuram Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
