City-based eminent violinist Sindhu Suchethan was awarded the ‘Best Accompanying Violinist’ Award in sub-senior category by the Madras Music Academy, Chennai, the reputed music Sabha of the country, at its recently concluded 97th Conference for her outstanding performance. The award was presented by Gopalkrishna Gandhi, former Governor of West Bengal, who was the chief guest and N. Murali, President of the Music Academy, in the presence of Sangeeta Kalanidhi Bombay Jayashree Ramanathan, Actress-Bharatanatyam dancer Leela Samson and other distinguished musicians and dignitaries. Disciple of H.K. Narasimhamurthy, H.N. Rajalakshmi and H.N. Bhaskar of Mysuru and daughter of Vijayalakshmi and H.V. Manjunath, Sindhu is the wife of popular musician and mentor Suchethan Rangaswamy.
