Mysuru: Dr. Vijaylakshmi Dayal, Head, Department of Physics, Maharaja Institute of Technology (MIT), Mysuru, has been awarded an Advance Research Project entitled “Study of Strain Mediated Electrical Control over Magnetism in Ferromagnetic / Ferroelectric Hetrostructure” by the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi.
The total grant for the project is approximately Rs. 35 lakh. The project award is in recognition of her ongoing research and her commendable research achievements in the field of magnetic materials and superconductivity. She has published more than 70 research papers in international and national journals.
Previously also she was awarded different research projects — Young Scientist Research Award from BRNS BARC Mumbai and a Project from UGC-DAE CSR Indore. She is a research guide of VTU as well as University of Mysore, according to a press release from MIT.
