Mysuru: Builders’ Association of India (BAI), Mysuru Centre, celebrated “Builders’ Day” with the theme “Construction Technology – Way to US $ 5 Trillion Economy” at its MBCT Auditorium in Vishweshwaranagar, here recently.
Sachin Chandra, National President, BAI, was the Chief Guest. K. Sriram, Vice President, Southern Region, BAI; R. Ambikapathy, State Chairman, BAI, Karnataka and Anil K. Pillai, GM-Technical Services, Ramco Cements Ltd., were the Guests of Honour.
K. Subramanya Rao, former Chairman, BAI Mysuru Centre, read the citation of K. Dasharath, Member, BAI, Mysuru Centre and MD of D.K. Constructions, who was conferred “Builder of the Year Award” while S. Prakash, former Managing Trustee, MBCT, read the citation of S.L. Dinesh, Member, BAI Mysuru Centre and MD of Megha Concrete Blocks, who was presented with “Member Extraordinaire Award.”
A.V. Sridhar, former Chairman, BAI Mysuru Centre, introduced nine new members, who were inducted by Sachin Chandra, National President, BAI, on the occasion. Mysuru Shilpi, a monthly Bulletin of BAI, Mysuru, was released by R. Ambikapathy, State Chairman, Karnataka, BAI.
The programme commenced with an invocation by karaoke group of BAI. Centre Chairman B.S. Dinesh welcomed. R. Raghunath, Hon. Secretary, proposed a vote of thanks. Latha Ramprasad and M.S. Ramprasad, former Chairman, BAI Mysuru, compared.
