BAI felicitates 16 meritorious children of construction workers

Mysore/Mysuru: Builders’ Association of India (BAI), Mysore Centre, in association with Mysore Builders Charitable Trust (MBCT), had organised a programme to felicitate 16 meritorious children of the construction workers who scored more than 75 percent of marks in the recently concluded SSLC and second PUC exams at MBCT Auditorium here.

On the same day, the valedictory of World Environment Month Celebration (WEMC) was held.

N. Keshav Murthy, Programme Executive, Akashvani, Mysuru, who was the chief guest, feted the students. M.C. Mallikarjun, Managing Trustee of MBCT, was the guest of honour.

A.S. Yoganarasimha, Chairman, BAI, Mysore Centre, gave a brief report about the activities of BAI. WEMC Organising Committee Chairman V. Srinath briefed about the successful completion of WEM celebrations.

Construction Workers Welfare Committee (CWWC) Coordinator C. Vishwanath read the citation of the 16 deserving children of the construction workers, who were felicitated with certificates, mementos, note books, pens and cash prize.

M.V. Jeevitha Ganga- 96.96% (Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala, Saraswathipuram); K. Likith – 93.28% (Sri Sathya Sai Baba Higher Primary & High School); Gaana Sri – 90.72% (Sharada Shishuvihara, Sharadadevinagara); K. Shivakumar – 84.8% (Divya Jyothi High School, Udbur); P. Shalini – 84.32% (Sri Sathya Sai Baba School); J. Shayan Raj – 76.32% (Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Jayalakshmipuram); L. Ganesh – 76.16% (Marimallappa’s High School); S. Mohan Kumari – 75.36% (Govt. High School, Kanakagiri) and B. Lekhana – 75.36% (Mahaveer Vidya Mandira HS, Srirampura).

L. Chethan – 96.33% (Master’s PU College, Hassan); H. Mithun Gowda – 95.5% (Vijaya Vittala Composite PU College); H.S. Akshay – 92.33% (Gopalaswamy Shishuvihara Independent PU College); R. Nalini – 90.5% (St. Joseph’s PU College, Jayalakshmipuram); M. Jathin – 92.5% (MDSV S. Gurukula PU College); P. Niranjan – 81.83% (Sree Cauvery Composite PU College, Kuvempunagar); N. Geetha – 76.16% (MMK&SDM Girls PU College).

Spoorthi – Ladies Wing of BAI Mysore Centre President Ramadevi Srikanth announced special cash prize for 6 top girl students in memory of late Madhavi Gurushanthappa, Past President of Spoorthi.

Naganandhini, wife of late J.V.R. Naidhruva, contributed cash prize in memory of J.V.R. Naidhruva for 2 top boy students.

Mr. & Mrs. Ramprasad gave away the books called “Life Skill Development” to all the students. K.R. Yoganarasimhan donated bags to all students.

Shwetha Dinesh rendered the invocation. K.R. Prabhakara Rao, Hon. Secretary, BAI Mysore, proposed a vote of thanks.
