Mysuru: Builders’ Association of India (BAI), Mysore Centre, in association with Mysore Builders Charitable Trust, had organised a programme to felicitate meritorious children of the construction workers who scored more than 75% marks in the recently concluded SSLC and 2nd PUC exams, on July 4 at Rotary Centre on JLB Road.
The programme commenced with invocation by Sharanya. S. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman, BAI, Mysore Centre, gave a brief report about the activities of BAI.
Dr. Ravindra Dastikop, Professor, Computer Science & Engineering, SDM College of Engineering & Technology, Dharawad, who was the chief guest, felicitated the students with mementoes and cash prizes.
S.R. Swamy, State Chairman, BAI Karnataka, was the guest of honour. V. Gurudatt read the citation of 19 deserving children of the construction workers who have scored more than 75% in SSLC — G. Kavya – 96.48%, G. Gagangopal – 95.04%, M. Sinchana – 94.08%, H.M. Ambika- 93.92%, M.P. Spandana – 90.88%, H.M. Jayalakshmi – 87.68%, N.S. Nagaveni – 84.96%, A.R. Manoj – CGPA- 8.4, K. Dharshan – 80%, K.R. Thrinesh- CGPA – 8, J. Smeha – 79.52%, M. Nirupama -75.84%, N.S. Rashmitha – 75.04%, N.S. Dhanush – 75.04% and in 2nd PUC — C.M. Manauj Gowda – 94%, R. Ashwini – 90.3%, S. Ranjitha – 90.3%, G. Divya – 85.8%, D. Vinod – 77.5%.
Spoorthi (Ladies Wing of BAI Mysuru Centre) President Nirmala Shekar distributed cash prize from “Saheli” to three topper girls.
M.Rathnaraj, Hon. Secretary, BAI, Mysore Centre, proposed a vote of thanks. Mahablaeshwara Bairy, A.Dinesh, V. Gurudatt and P. Puttaswamy were the Co-ordinators. The programme was compered by Anitha Sridhar, Hon. Treasurer of Spoorthi, according to a press release.
