Mysuru: The first ever Balija Samaja Census of community members living in the city and neighbourhood, was launched at Town Hall in the city this morning.
Bengaluru-based political columnist G.N. Rajashekar Naidu inaugurated the census.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajashekar Naidu said that the census was aimed at collecting information about the community members living in the city and called upon the members to extend their co-operation as it would help in better organisation of the community.
Community leader from Ballari Tapal Ganesh released the census format on the occasion.
Noted Columnist Gubbigoodu Ramesh presided.
Music Director Manoranjan Prabhakar Naidu, Yogi Narayana Banajiga (Balija) Sangha Mysuru President M. Narayan, Kodadu zilla Balija Samaja President T.L. Srinivas, Mandya Balija Sangha Vice-President K. Nagananda, BEML Balija Sangha President M.N. Anand, Kodagu Zilla Balija Vidyabhivruddhi Sangha President Swetha N. Naidu, Industrialist J. Vijayasoorya Naidu and others were present.
