Mysuru: Marking the 128th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Mysore Bar Association had organised a function at its premises here yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal District and Sessions Judge S.K. Vontigodi opined that the growth of a nation is qualified by the progress of women in the nation. He recalled that Ambedkar always fought for equality and eradication of casteism.
He added that Ambedkar had visited 60 countries to study the Constitution of those countries to be incorporated in Indian Constitution.
High Court Judge Arvind Kumar inaugurated the programme.
Bar Association President S. Anand Kumar, Vice-President S.G. Shivanne Gowda, Secretary B. Shivanna, Karnataka Bar Council Member B.R. Chandramouli, Nagasiddarta Holeyar and others were present during the inauguration.
