Basavarajappa (79), retired LIC Developmental Officer and a resident of Sri Mahadeshwara Layout in the town, passed away at his residence on Wednesday morning.
He leaves behind his wife Pushpavathi, son Kallesh and a host of relatives and friends.
The body was donated to JSS Medical College and Hospital in Mysuru on Wednesday evening for research purpose as per the wish of the deceased, according to family sources.
