Basavegowda (88), a retired teacher, member of Theosophical Society and a resident of Metagalli, passed away following chronic illness in the early hours of today in city.
A native of Chakrabhavi in Magadi taluk, he leaves behind his son Dr. C.B. Keshavamurthy, Chief Interventional Cardiologist at Manipal Hospital in city, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this evening.
