Mysuru lad Y.G. Vijayeendra, the former Karnataka State champion, won his last and seventh round game against Germany’s Alexander Stadler and tied with Germany’s Lennart Uphoof with 6 points from seven rounds, but on the basis of his better tie-break score the later Lennart won the title while Vijayeendra secured the second place.
Bernard Schimid, Florian Huiber and Alexander Stadler secured four points each and secured the places from third to fifth in the final rankings.
