Bavarian Police impart training to State cops

Mysuru:  Karnataka Police Academy (KPA), Mysuru, in association with Bavarian State Police from Germany, conducted five-day workshop on ‘Practice-oriented and Modular Police training’ to the Police Officers of Karnataka State working at various Training Institutes and at the Karnataka Police Academy as trainers.

The sessions of workshop were addressed by Hubert Muller (Senior Police Director) and Andreas Dietl (Dy. Superintendent of Police). Dr. Vamshi Krishna, Deputy Director, KPA, was the workshop Director. Volker Lennart Plan and Ritu Priya were present during the sessions.

The workshop was attended by 45 Officers from the rank of Police Inspectors to Superintendents of Police from various Police Institutes of the State.

The workshop focused on need of innovative training methodology and scenario based practical training for Probationary Police Officers at the training level itself in handling different situations. Scenario based practical situations were conducted and enacted by participants.

The workshop was inaugurated by Vipul Kumar, Director, KPA, on July 30 and concluded on Aug.3 in which Padam Kumar Garg, DGP Training, Bengaluru, was the chief guest.
