Mysuru: Mysuru-based Divyadwani Sampada has organised 21st Bhagavad Gita recitation competition for students on Dec. 10 at 10 am. The competition will be conducted in nursery, primary, higher primary, high school and college categories.
The students participating in nursery category will have to recite slokas 17 to 22 from the first chapter. Slokas 32 to 40 for primary and samskrutha prathama students, slokas 1 to 8 from chapter 6 for higher primary and samskrutha kavya students, slokas 4 to 13 from chapter 10 (with meaning) for high school students and slokas 1 to 10 from chapter 18 (participants will have to tell the meaning of any one sloka asked by the judges) for college and samskrutha literature students. Two participants will be allowed to take part in each category and prizes will be given to winners of first three places. The organisers will also felicitate A. Kamal Tej, who secured highest marks in PU exam conducted during 2016-17 and also A. Akshay for completing 18 chapters of Bhagavad Gita and scoring highest marks in the exam conducted by Meera Manasa Institution during 2016-17.
