‘Bharatanatya-Prathibimba’ at BVB

Mysuru: As part of its 139th Cultural Outreach Programme, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Mysuru Kendra, along with BVB Bengaluru and Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru, has organised ‘Bharatanatya-Prathibimba’ at its premises in Vijayanagar 1st Stage, at 6 pm tomorrow (Oct. 19). The performing artistes are Vidu. Gowri Sagar, Dance Director of Srikanteshwara Kala Kendra, Vidu. Pruthvi Parthasarathy and disciples of Gowri — Srilakshmi Narayan, M. Nithyashree, Sneha, Shreya, L. Madhumitha, Snigdha, Smrithi Harithasa and C. Aishwarya.

Profile: Gowri Sagar is an acclaimed Bharatanatyam dancer who began her initial training at the age of 5. Her mother Vidushi Shamala Aswath is her first Guru.

 Her passion for dance took a deeper root when she started her training from Guru late B.R. Thulasiram. Gowri is now the disciple of Guru Sathyanarayana Raju and hones her expertise under his guidance. Trained in Classical music and Nattuvanga, Gowri is also a yoga practioner and trainer.
