Bharatanatyam Arrangetram of Panchami Gopal on July 1

Mysore/Mysuru: The Bharatanatyam Arrangetram of Panchami Gopal, a disciple of Guru Preeti Ramakrishnan, will be held at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB road in city on July 1 (Saturday) at 5 pm.

Panchami has been learning Bharatanatyam since the age of 6 and Karnatak music since the age of 7.  Panchami was raised in Katy, Texas, and graduated from Seven Lakes High School. Currently, she is an incoming freshman at Texas A&M University and is planning on majoring in Neuroscience. She is the daughter of Satish Gopal and Surekha Satish, residents of Katy, Texas.                                                                                          

Dr. Tulasi Ramachandra, Founder-Director of Nrityalaya Trust, an Academy of Performing Arts in Mysuru, will be the chief guest.

Amruta Shastry got her initial training as a vocalist under her mother Indira, an All India Radio (AIR) artiste. She also sings Sugama Sangeeta which she is learning from her husband, a playback singer and composer Nithin Rajaram Shastry.

Vid. H.L. Shivashankar Swamy, a leading mridanga player, has accompanied many renowned singers all over India and abroad. He is the founder of ‘Laya Vidya Pratishtana’, a percussion academy in Mysuru.

Vid. Rakesh Sudhir is the disciple of Veteran flautist Karnataka Kalashree late A.V. Prakash. Founder of ‘Studio Swaramadhura’, a digital audio recording studio, he is a graded AIR artiste.

Vid. Pradesh Achar, a Violinist and Vocalist, is a disciple of Lalgudi Rajalakshmi and Dr. Vidyabushana; and B High grade artiste in AIR and Doordarshan.

Guru Preeti Ramakrishnan  hails from Mumbai, where she started learning the traditional Indian classical art form Bharatnatyam under Gurus Kumari S. Vasantha and S. Subbulakshmi. Preeti moved to US in 2007 and launched Shree Krishna Dance Academy in Oklahoma City.  Shree Krishna Dance Academy was formally re-launched in Sugar Land, TX in 2014.
