Mysuru: Naatya Sabha, Mysuru, has organised a classical Bharatanatyam dance programme by Vidu. Kathyayini C. Shringari tomorrow (Sept. 28) at Ganabharathi auditorium in Kuvempunagar at 6 pm.
Kathyayini will be accompanied by Vijayakumar on Natuvanga, Vidu. Harshitha Vidya on vocal support, Vid. Vinay Nagarajan on mridanga and Vid. Jayaram Kikkeri on flute.
Kathyayini has been training under Guru Dr. Kripa Phadke for the past fifteen years and presently under S. Vijayakumar from Chennai. She holds Master’s Degree in Bharatanatyam from Music University, Mysuru and has completed Vidwat exam conducted by KSEEB, Government of Karnataka. She is a graded artiste of Doordarshan and has been bestowed with many titles by renowned dance institutes. She is training students in Bharatanatyam at her institute ‘Nrithyaradhana’ in Mysuru. She is also the Principal at Naatya Sabha Instutute of Classical Dance, Mysuru and is working as Programme Executive at Gayana Sabha, Mysuru.
Accompanying her Guru Dr. Kripa Phadke, Kathyayini has performed at prestigious platforms all over the country and has given solo performances too.
