Mysuru: GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru and Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPICMACAY), have jointly organised Bharatanatyam Dance Programme by renowned artiste P. Praveen Kumar tomorrow (Dec. 9) at 2 pm at M. Govinda Rao Memorial Hall, GSSSIETW, KRS Road, Mysuru.
P. Praveen Kumar, an empanelled artiste of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) and an ‘A’ grade artiste on television, believes that dance is the ultimate medium of creative expression and has immense therapeutic value.
He is an accomplished choreographer and has skilfully created several critically acclaimed productions to his credit including Rtu Vismruthi, Vani, Shiva Sutra Jaala, Sakha, Loka Bandhavyam, Anagha Vilasa, Pandharpur and many more.
He has travelled extensively around the globe and in India, taking part in prestigious dance and music festivals and is also the Founder of the Chithkala School of Dance at Bengaluru.
Praveen Kumar will be accompanied by Smruthi Bhaskar on vocal, Dhanya Hoskere on natuvanga, Vidyashankar on mridanga and Shashank Jodidar on flute.
