Mysore/Mysuru: Kumar Performing Arts Centre (KPAC), Mysuru, has organised National-level Bharatanatyam Classical Dance Competition on July 22 at Kalemane Sabhangana, #262, 1st Cross, behind Government College, M.G. Koppal, Vijayanagar.

Participants must be aged 18 years or above. Each candidate will have a competition duration of 9+1 minutes. Performances should be accompanied by pre-recorded music in laptop or mobile phone. Natuvangam must be included in the music selection. Any other music, including classical songs from movies, will result in disqualification.
The competition evaluates participants based on criteria such as Abhinaya, Nritta (Footwork), Aaharya (Makeup, Costumes, etc.), and the quality of the recorded music. The final results of the competition will be announced on the same day at the conclusion of the event. All participants will receive a Participation Certificate. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners will be given a 10-minute performance slot in the monthly Nirantara Kalemane Utsava on July 23. Prizes will be distributed on July 23 at the competition venue (Kalemane Sabhangana).
