Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Nrutya Niketana School of Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi Dance, Bogadi II Stage, Mysuru, has organised Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of K. Shrivalli, disciple of Vidushi Prasannalakshmi, on Feb. 4 at 5.30 pm at Ganabharathi’s Ramagovinda Kalavedike in Kuvempunagar.
Vidu. Dr. Kripa Phadke, Director, Nrityagiri, Mysuru, Dr. Vidu. M.A. Jyothi, Srujana Kala Mandira, School of Karnatak Music, Mysuru and Natyacharya Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao, Artistic Director, Noopura Kalavidaru Trust, Mysuru, will be the guests of honour.
Vidu. Prasannalakshmi (dance direction, choreography, natuvanga), Vid. Naveen M.S. Andagar (vocal), Vid. K.S. Ganesh (flute), Vid. V. Shyamu (mridanga) and G.N. Manjunath (compere) will accompany Shrivalli.
K. Shrivalli, daughter of M. Krishna and G. Anuradha, showed her interest towards dance at the age of 4. She started her Bharatanatyam dance journey in Kalakshetra style under the guidance of Guru Prasannalakshmi, Director of Sri Nrutya Niketana School.
Having completed her Higher Primary School at Amrita Vidyalayam, High School at Arivu Vidya Samsthe, PUC at JSS Women’s College, Saraswathipuram, Shrivalli is currently pursuing her degree at Maharaja’s College. She has also completed her Junior and Senior Bharatanatyam Exams conducted by KSEEB.
Gandharva: She has topped in all the exams till Visharada Prathama; Music: She has learnt the basics of Karnatak Music by Guru Sujatha Prasad and continued her vocal and flute under Dr. C.A. Sridhar. She has completed her Junior Exams in vocal and flute. She started learning violin from Dr. M.A. Jyothi, a noted vocalist and violinist; Sanskrit: She has completed her Kavya Exam from Karnataka Sanskrit University.
