Mysore/Mysuru: Nadavidyalaya – Academy of Music and Dance, Hebbal, Mysuru, has organised Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of A. Rakshitha (daughter of B.R. Anantha Kumar and A.K. Gayathri), disciple of Vidu. Mithra Naveen, at Jaganmohan Palace auditorium in city on Dec. 27 at 5.30 pm.
Prof. Nagesh V. Bettakote, Vice-Chancellor, Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University Mysuru, Natyacharya Prof. K Ramamurthy Rao, Karnataka Rajyotsava Awardee -2025 & Artistic Director of Noopura Kalavidaru Trust, Mysuru, Ravi Shastri, Vice-President of Sri Krishna Dhama, Mysuru & President of Mysuru Hotel Owners Association Trust, will be the guests of honour.
Guru Vidushi Mithra Naveen will be felicitated in Guru Vandanam. Programme direction, Choreography, Nattuvangam will be by Vidushi Mithra Naveen, Vidwan Naveen M. S Andagar on vocal, Vidwan Vivek Krishna on flute and Vidwan G.S Nagaraj on mridanga will accompany Rakshitha. Dr. Bhuvaneshwari will compere.
Profile: A. Rakshitha has been learning dance in Nadavidyalaya for the past 15 years and continues to learn till date, under the guidance of Vidu. Mithra Naveen. She has completed her Junior and Senior exams under KSEEB, and Pre-Vidwat exam from Music University, Mysuru.
Alongside dance, she is trained in classical music under Vid. M.S. Naveen, completing her Junior level and learnt all 18 Adhyayas of Bhagavad Gita under Sobha Ananda Rajan at Suraksha Foundation, Mysuru, enriching her spiritual and artistic foundation.
A former student of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB) School and Vijaya Vittala Composite PU College, she later earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru.
She is currently employed as Software Engineer at Lowe’s Services India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru.
