Mysore/Mysuru: Nadavidyalaya Academy of Music and Dance, Mysuru, has organised Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of Dr. J. Sheershika, a disciple of Vidu. Mithra Naveen, at Rama Govinda Rangamandira in Ramakrishnanagar here on Dec. 17 at 5.30 pm.
Mandya Ramesh, Founder-Director of Natana Ranga Shale, Dr. Jayakumar Srinivasan Ammangudi, Founder of Arsha Seva Kendram, Coimbatore, Dr. R.D. Dayananda, Senior Cancer Specialist at Sriranga Ayurveda Chikitsa Mandira, Mysuru and Dr. Avinash Purushotham, Founder and Chief Consultant of Krishna Ayurvedalaya, Mysuru, will be the guests of honour.
Guru Vidu. Mithra Naveen will be felicitated in the Guru Vandana Sabha programme.
The programme direction, choreography and natuvangam will be by Vidu. Mithra Naveen accompanied by Vid. Naveen M.S. Andagar on vocal, Vid. Vivek Krishna on flute and Vid. G.S. Nagraj on mridanga. Dr. Bhuvaneshwari will compere.
Profile: Dr. Sheershika, daughter of Sunitha Ramaiah and M.K. Ramaiah, is a dedicated and a passionate dancer.
An Ayurvedic doctor by profession, Sheershika is planning on pursuing her MD. She has completed Bharatanatyam 7th level Visharad Purna exam conducted by Akhila Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai and Pre-Vidwat from Karnataka Secondary Examination Board and is pursuing her Post-Vidwat. She has given numerous performances at various platforms.
