Mysore/Mysuru: Nritya Vidya Peeta, Mysuru, is presenting Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of Kalpitha Prashanth on Dec.11 from 6 pm at Jaganmohan Palace auditorium.
Music ensemble: Guru Vidu. C.N. Anitha – natuvanga, Vid. Srikanth Gopalakrishna, Chennai – vocal, Vid. M. Vinay Nagarajan, Bengaluru – mridanga and Vid. Rakesh Sudhir, Mysuru – flute.
Internationally acclaimed Violinist Dr. Mysore Manjunath and Dr. M.D. Sudarshan, Assistant Director, Kannada and Culture Department, will be the chief guests. Well-known actor duo Sunder and Veena Sunder will be special invitees. Vidushi Sharadamani Shekar will preside.
The traditional dance pieces of Bharatanatyam will be presented by Kalpitha which will be followed by Guru Vandana.
Entry to the programme is free to all art-lovers.
Profile: Kalpitha Prashanth started learning dance from the age of 5 and completed Junior Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Vidushi Seema Bhagwat, completed senior and Pre Vidwath in Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Guru Vidushi C.N. Anitha of Mysuru and pursuing Vidwath finale under the guidance of Guru.
She has performed in Kadambotsava, Karavali Utsava, Navratri Utsava, Kalemane Utsava, Nupurotsava, Dasara at Mysore Palace, floating stage of Brindavan Gardens, KRS. She started her own dance institute in 2021 in the name of Nruthya Varna Kala Sowrabha in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, Mysuru.
