Mysore/Mysuru: Nrityagiri Academy of Performing Arts & Research Centre, Mysuru, has organised Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of M.S. Ananya (Disciple of Guru Vidushi Dr. Kripa Phadke) at Jaganmohan Palace in city on June 17 at 5.30 pm.
She will be accompanied by Guru Dr. Kripa Phadke on natuvanga, Vid. Rohit Bhat on vocal, Vid. Pavan Kumar on mridanga and Vid. Vivek Krishna on flute.
M.G. Sadanandaiah, Deputy Director (retd.), Kannada and Culture, Bengaluru, will preside. Natyacharya Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao, Director, Noopura Kalavidaru, Mysuru and Dr. Deepa Phadke, renowned Author, Bengaluru, will be the chief guests. Guruvandana will be offered to Guru Vidushi Dr. Kripa Phadke, Director, Nrityagiri. Vidu. Roopashree Madhusudhan, Bengaluru, will compere.
Profile: Ananya, daughter of S. Nagarathna and M.S. Shivalingaswamy, is married to Manmeet Singh Nagi. Ananya started her journey towards art field at the age of 9 under the guidance of Guru Vidushi Roopashree Madhusubhan. Later, she continued dance under Dr. Kripa Phadke.
Ananya has completed her Proficiency Exam conducted by Karnataka State Board. She also holds a Master’s degree in Bharatanatyam from Tiruchirappalli Diocesan Edu-cational Society, Tamil University.
Ananya has practiced Karnatak Classical Music under Guru Vidu. Shashirekha and has completed her junior exam. She has practiced ‘Sugama Sangeetha’ under Guru T.N. Ashwini.
She completed her Engineering Degree from Maharaja Institute of Technology (MIT), Mysuru. She is working as an Engineer at a private sector from 7 years.
