Mysore/Mysuru: Nruthya Vidyapeeta – Academy of Classical Dance and Indian Arts, Mysuru, has organised Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of S. Rakshitha, a disciple of Guru Vidu. C.N. Anitha at Kalamandira on Hunsur Road in city at 5.30 pm on Mar. 19.
Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion while Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha will be the special invitee. Sri Chowdeshwari Temple, Sigandoor, Chief Priest S.P. Sheshagiri Bhat; Kannada and Culture Department Assistant Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan, GSSSIETW Administrator Anupama B. Pandit and Noopura Kalavidaru Samskruthika Trust, Mysuru, Director Natyacharya Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao will be the chief guests.
Guruvandana will be offered to Guru Vidu. M.L. Bharathi (music) and Guru Vidu. C.N. Anitha (dance) on the occasion.
Natuvanga will be by Guru Vidu. C.N. Anitha. She will be accompanied by Vid. Rakesh Sudheer on vocal, Vid. Pancham Upadhyaya on mridanga, Vid. Rakesh Datta on flute, Vid. Vinay Rangadhol on rhythm pad.
Profile: Rakshitha, daughter of industrialist R. Shyam Sundar and H.C. Kavitha couple, is a dedicated and passionate dancer who started her artistic journey at the tender age of five under the guidance of Guru. Vidu. Anitha. Rakshitha is presently pursuing her BE from GSSSIETW and is also excellent in her academics.
She has completed her Junior and Senior Grade Bharatanatyam examinations conducted by Karnataka Board with distinction and also completed junior and senior grade in Karnatak Classical vocal music. She is currently preparing for Vidwath examinations in Bharatanatyam and Karnatak Classical music.
She has performed at various events including Bharatiya Nrutya Kala Parishat Kushalnagar Jatra Mahotsav, Sigandoor Jatra Mahotsav, Kannada Rajyotsava-2019 etc.
