Mysuru: Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of R. Varshini, disciple of Guru Vidu. Dr. Kripa Phadke, has been organised at Jaganmohan Palace tomorrow (Apr.19) at 5.30 pm, under the aegis of Nrityagiri Academy of Performing Arts & Research Centre, Mysuru.
N. Parthasarathi, former Ambassador of India to South Korea & Chief Executive Officer, KSCA, Bengaluru, will preside. J.K. Srinivasa Murthy, renowned Senior Kannada Film Actor and Natyacharya Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao, Director, Nupura Kalavidaru, Mysuru, will be chief guests.

The musical ensemble includes: Dr. Kripa Phadke – Nattuvanga, Vidu. Rajeshwari Pandit – Vocal, Vid. H.L. Shivashankaraswamy – Mridanga and Vid. A.P. Krishna Prasad – Flute.
Profile: Varshini is the daughter of B.K. Kavitha and E.S. Radhakrishna, hailing from Engalaguppe in Mandya district. She was introduced into the vibrant world of Bharatanatyam at the age 8. She started her dance schooling under the guidance of Vidu. Jyothi N. Hegde and then under Dr. Kripa Phadke.
She has completed her junior and senior grade of Bharatanatyam exam conducted by KSEEB and currently preparing for Vidwat grade.
Varshini is also a dedicated disciple of Karnatak music, trained by Vidu. Rekha Venkatesh and has completed her junior grade. She proved her excellence even in studies and was a meritorious student throughout her career. She did her primary schooling in CKC, Mysuru, completed her High School and PU education in Marimallapa’s. Currently she is pursuing her final year engineering from NIE-IT, Mysuru.
