Mysuru: As part of its 136th Cultural Outreach Programme, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Bengaluru-Mysuru Kendra, in association with Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru, has organised Bharatanatyam by Vaishnavi Ensemble at BVB premises in Vijayanagar 1st Stage, Mysuru, on Sept. 21 at 6 pm.
The Vaishnavi Ensemble comprises a team of dedicated disciples of Natyacharya Mithun Shyam, Founder-Director of Vaishnavi Natyashala, Banaswadi, Bengaluru. Artistes of the ensemble are Ananya Santosh, Gayathri Guruprasad, Kavya Kasinathan, Sakshi Ashok, K. Harshavardhan and Shashank Kiron Nair.
Each of them has been training for over a decade in this art form and have been performing extensively in various reputed Dance Festivals, Sabhas and temples across the country and have taken the name of Vaishnavi Natyashala up to a new pinnacle.
They have had the opportunity to perform at several temples including Thillai Nataraja Temple at Chidambaram, Jambukeshwara Temple at Trichy, Madurai Meenakshitemple, Murugan Temple at Tiruparakundram and Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple.
They have completed their Senior grade and Vidwat grade Exams conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Examination Board with distinctions.
The ensemble has also had the opportunity to perform in various productions produced by Senior Gurus like Padma Shri Guru Ananda Shankar Jayanth, Padma Shri Prathibha Prahlad, Krithika Subramanian, Guru Veena Murthy Vijay and Gayathri Krishnaveni Lakshmanan.
