Mysore/Mysuru: Ganabharathi will present a Bharatanatyam recital by Vidu. Padmashri from 6 pm to 7 pm and dance by Bharathanjali Nritya Shala from 7 pm to 8 pm on Mar. 25 at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar.

Vidu. Padmasri hails from an artiste family. She was attracted to dance at a very young age. She is trained in vocal by her father Vid. M.R. Krishnamurthy and in dance by Dr. K. Kumar. Her talent was recognised by Guru P. Praveen Kumar. Her major performances are at Mysore Palace (Dasara), Hampi Utsava and Chalukya Utsava. She has been awarded with Anupama Kalashri, Natyamayuri and Basavashri awards. In 2021, she was awarded Doctorate from Pondicherry Global Human Peace University. She is the Founder of Kalanidhi School of Dance in Mysuru.
Bharathanjali Nritya Shala was founded in 1985 in Mandya and Mysuru to promote Bharatanatyam by Vid. Dr. Sheela Shridhar. Students are learning yoga and Sanskrit along with dance.
