‘Bhavasameera ’ Devotional Music Fest begins

Mysuru:  The six-day ‘Bhavasameera Sri Vadiraja Vaibhavam’ Music Festival, organised by Haridasa Sangitha Sahithyotsava Samiti, was inaugurated by Sode Sri Vadiraja Mutt Seer Sri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji at Sarada Vilas Centenary Hall in Krishnamurthypuram here on Sunday.

Upcoming singers Nityasri, Dhanya, Nayana Nagaraj, Vishnu and Madhwesh rendered devotional songs.

Later Sangeeta Katti and troupe presented a music programme ‘Jnana-Gana Vybhava.’

Speaking on the occasion, Vid.Raichur Sheshagiri Das opined that such programmes should be popularised to evoke devotion among the younger generation.

Samiti President Dr. B.N. Vijayendracharya, Secretary S. Ravikumar and others were present.

The line up of programme is as follows: Nov.13: ‘Nada-Gana Vaibhava’, Nov.14: ‘Hayavadanankita Kriti Gayana’ and ‘Rajavadhana’, Nov.15: ‘Kolata Vaibhava’ and ‘Trivikrama Vaibhavam’, Nov.16: ‘Anthyakashari’ with Dasara Padagalu followed by valedictory. The programmes will start at 5 pm everyday.

Senior Scholars of city P.S. Sheshagiri Acharya and Dr. C.H. Srinivasamurthy Acharya will be felicitated during the valedictory to be held at 6.30 pm on Nov.16.
