Mysuru: The Bhramara Trust of Y.T. and Madhuri Thathachari presented Bhramara’s Lifetime Achievement Awards to late Dr. V. Rajan Iyer (posthumously, for service to humanity) at an event held at Rajendra Auditorium of JSS Medical College in city this morning.
Other awardees include Dr. H. Basavana Gowdappa, Principal and Professor of Medicine, JSS Medical College (for his service to medical education and research) and Dr. N.M. Shama Sundar, Professor of Anatomy, JSS Medical College (for his research and service to society).
The awards were presented in the presence of Suttur seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji.
Dr. S. Sacchidanand, Director of Medical Education Department, was the chief guest. Dr. Col. Rajendra Chaturvedi, Chairman, Drishti and former Director of JSS Hospital, Mysuru, was the guest of honour.
The event was presided by Padma Shri Dr. D.R. Kaarthikeyan, Advisor, Law-Human Rights – Corporate Affairs and former Director, CBI.
Jayashree, wife of late Dr. V. Rajan Iyer, who received the award on his behalf, in her acceptance speech, said, “Rajan had dedicated his entire life towards humanity and saving and healing people. His goodness and deeds have brought him this recognition.”
Dr. Rajan Iyer was the Director of Metaphysical Energy Medicine Unit at the TAG-VHS Diabetes Research Centre in Chennai.
Dr. Col. Rajendra Chaturvedi poured in praises for Rajan Iyer’s contribution and called his acupuncture treatments as miracles as he could heal patients with bigger disabilities within 5 to 6 sittings.
Dr. Kaarthikeyan added that Rajan was a sincere man as he used to treat all patients irrespective of background or financial status equally.
He said, “Rajan treated the rich, poor, clean, unclean, everyone in the same way with a mindset to help them. He treated everyone as though they were sent to him by God.”
