The hockey teams representing the Mandepanda, Mekerira, Ittira and Chendira score thumping victories over the opponents in the ongoing Biddatanda Hockey Namme at Napolku yesterday. The Mandepanda team defeated Mukkatira (Bonda) 7-1, Mekerira defeated Boliyadira 5-0, Ittira scored over Mandira (Nelaji) 5-0, Chendira defeated Tadiyangada 4-0.
In the rest of the matches, Palangada defeated Kabbachira 4-0, Ballachanda defeated Cheyanda 4-2, Appanderanda defeated Cherumandanda 3-1, Bayavanda defeated Mandeda 1-0, Bollanda defeated Chotteyanda 1-0, Machangada defeated Kalyatanda 3-1, Kandanda defeated Bolakaranda 4-1, Udiyanda defeated Allaranda 3-0, Pandanda defeated Mallanda 2-0, Nadikeriyanda defeated Kongetira 4-0, Paradanda defeated Pattacheruvanda 1-0 and Karthamada (Birunani) defeated Teetimada 2-0.
Release of souvenir
The souvenir of ongoing Biddatanda Hockey Namme will be released on May 14 during the valedictory. The organisers have invited articles on the Hockey Festival from writers in Kodava, Kannada and English languages. Interested may submit their articles before Apr. 30.
