Bike-lifter arrested

Mysuru:  In a major catch, the City Crime Branch (CCB) Police, who arrested a 21-year-old bike-lifter, have recovered four high-end motorcycles, a laptop and two mobile phones, totally worth Rs.4 lakh from him. The arrested has been identified as Madhukumar alias Bond, a resident of Ramanuja Road, Agrahara, in city.

Acting on a tip off, the CCB sleuths picked up Madhukumar near Padma Talkies, Agrahara on Mar.14.

During interrogation, he confessed to have stolen motorcycles, following which four two-wheelers, a laptop and two mobile phones, totally worth about Rs.4 lakh were recovered from him.

With Madhukumar’s arrest, the CCB Police have cracked five cases — three in Saraswathipuram and one each registered in Vidyaranyapuram and Kuvempunagar Police Stations.

DCP (Law and Order) M. Muthuraju supervised CCB ACP Mariyappa who led CCB Inspector C. Kiran Kumar, ASI Chandregowda, staff C. Chikkanna, Ramaswamy, M.R. Ganesh, Asgar Khan, Shivaraju, Rajendra, Niranjan, Chandrashekar, Chamundamma, Gowtham and Shivakumar, in the nabbing and recovery operations, according to a press release from the PRO, City Police Commissioner’s Office.
