Mysore/Mysuru: V.V. Puram Traffic Police, who were on Highway Patrolling, took into their custody a bike-borne person who was moving around in a suspicious manner near Mathru Mandali Circle in Paduvarahalli and on questioning him, it has come to light that the person was using duplicate registration number for his bike to avoid traffic rules violation fines.
The arrested has been identified as Sameer Pasha of Murabanda village in H.D. Kote taluk. In order to avoid fines, Sameer Pasha was riding his Hero Honda Splendor Pro bike, originally bearing registration number KA-45-L-7597, with a duplicate registration number KA-45-K-7597, which was actually of a Scooty Pep scooter.
Meanwhile, the Scooty Pep owner, who was getting many traffic rules violation notices, enquired in the V.V. Puram Traffic Police following which the accused was taken into custody and during interrogation, he is said to have confessed to the crime. Later he was handed over to V.V. Puram Police.
V.V. Puram Traffic Police was led by ACP (Traffic Division) S.N. Sandesh Kumar under the supervision of DCP (Law and Order) Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda in the nabbing operation.
